There is no argument that ovulation is the key to pregnancy. You can greatly increase the odds to get pregnant if you can identify exactly when you are in the middle of ovulation. There are signs that your body releases which are worth taking note of.

The signs listed below may be indications that you are ovulating or about to ovulate. However, each sign should not be regarded as 100% accurate as everybody is different. Some women may or may not be having such signs yet they are still ovulating.

Cervical Mucus Increase
For most women, they feel a little bit moister when approaching the middle of their cycle. This is due to the increase amount of cervical fluid. Its form may range from watery to egg-white substance compared to creamy or sticky or totally not present mucus when you are not ovulating. And because of the mucus increase, having an intercourse during this period will be much easier as you do not need any extra lubricant.

Cervix Changes in Position
During ovulation, your cervix will move forward. Cervix should feel similar to the end of your nose. Yes, you will need to stick your finger inside the vagina to feel it. But make sure you wash your hands clean before you do. If you feel the cervix is a little open and softer than it may indicate that you ovulate.

Shifts in Basal Body Temperature
If you have been recording your BBT in the morning, then you will see spikes in temperature during certain period of time. When this happens, there is a great chance that you have ovulated.

LH Surge
If you have an OPK (Ovulation Predictor Kit) to test your ovulation, you will notice an LH surge. The kit will indicate if such surge is present.

Tenderness of the Breasts
Because of the pregnancy potentiality, your body is preparing for it and the hormone is rushing in the body. Though it is not a very common sign, but some women may have their breasts increase in tenderness after or before ovulation occurs.
